To hide an excel sheet so nobody could see it, like the results of a database query when you want just to show a summary based on it, select that sheet and do the following:
Making an excel sheet very hidden
- Right click on the sheet name
- View Code
- In the VBA project window that opens make sure you see the Project Explorer and the Properties sections (Menu View)
- Be sure that the target sheet is selected in the Project section
- From the Properties section change the option box beside “Visible” property to 2 – xlSheetVeryHidden
- The sheet pointer skips to the next sheet immediately (it will appear like the option box doesn’t want to accept the Sheet Very Hidden property)
Now you can go back to the excel window and check if the sheet is there. It shouldn’t be and you shouldn’t find it even if you check the list of the hidden sheets (right-click on the sheet name – Unhide).
